Book
http://www.port7alliance.com/Book.pdf
This is the begining of my first book. What kind of book? Well it is a bit of a hybrid of sorts. On the most basic plot level it is a story that is mainly based on my life. It includes characters based on people I know and many of the things that occur in the book have in fact occurred in reality. So is this a work of non-fiction? Not so either!
Why? Because the novel takes place in an undetermined amount of time in the future. So take my life and shift it into the future and what do you get? Science Fiction maybe? Well even that's not absolutely correct. It certainly reads as if it were science fiction. But in this book nearly every facet of technology, law, social situation is the outcome of research that I've done.
Therefore it is actually a prediction of the future. And a fairly accurately one at that, being that as time progresses I find myself having to reinvent what the future is because some parts of my book are already coming to pass while I am writing it. Yes it is pretty insane.
What then could the genre of this book be then?
Exaggerated Autobiography + Science Fiction feel + Scientific Prediction at future technology = ?????
well I'm not sure... maybe you can tell me.
(I know alot of the grammer and sentence structure needs work... i just want some feedback... Thank you)
